Hi, Eric!
What I meant to say was that many rumours had surfaced through the years concerning the Hamburg recording sessions (among many other things); and that such rumours have been progressively cleared by some experts in the matter. In my opinion, you certainly are one of those experts. I don´t know actually whether you're mentioned "Skinny Minny" or the other songs or not in your book; but I'm sure you've contributed a great deal to clarify things and separate fact from fiction. That's one of the main reasons I want to buy your book soon.
Best regards,
Leonardo.
Saludos,
Leonardo.

¡Hola, Leonardo!
Many thanks for your quick and kind response. Yes, you're absolutely right: many rumours have surfaced through the years concerning the Hamburg recording sessions, and because of that, there is a complete part in the first chapter of my book which is dedicated to that subjetc. So, everything you want to know about all these songs (Skinny Minny, Kansas City, Some Other Guy, Rock & Roll Music, etc.) is largely detailed in the book, from page 117 to 123, under the title: The rumours relating to the other "unissued material".
I also would like to take this opportunity to remind that the book contains 19 previously unpublished Polydor documents, and so you have the most complete collection of the German record company's documents ever available on one and only book. This allowed me to settle the record straight once and for all on what is (and what is not!) left in the Polydor archives. You can believe me that I did my best to separate fact from fiction! (I was also helped by Tony Sheridan for that, as you'll see in the book).
Now, if some Peruvians fans of the "Beatles Peru" website are interested to get the book, maybe we could arrange something with the webmaster to make a grouped mail and this could reduce the shipping costs for everybody (which I know are rather expensive from Europe to South America, it's always the same problem...). So, please, don't hesitate to tell me, I'm sure we could find a solution to give you satisfaction. Just let me know.
Many thanks again for your interest.
Warmest Regards, and Hasta pronto!

Eso es, Beatles Sound! Although Ringo Starr was Tony Sheridan's drummer for three months in early 1962 (January yo March), he never participated to any "grabacion con Tony".
Muchas Gracias!

Buenos dias a todos!
As I told you earlier, I was present (along with my co-author/friend Jean-Claude Hocquet) on Sunday 29 August at the Liverpool convention which was located at the prestigious Adelphi hotel in the city's center. Among the guests were Julia Baird (John Lennon's half sister), Allan Williams, Tony Bramwell, Billy J. Kramer, etc.
Several authors were also invited, such as the nice David Bedford who wrote the beautiful book Liddypool. On that occasion, we made this photograph on which you can see, from left to right: Jean-Claude Hocquet (co-author of La France et les Beatles), David Bedford (holding the book Fact and Fiction 1960-1962), myself (holding the book Liddypool), and Yvon Marie (French collector who participated to the making of and the release of the five CDs dealing with 117 french covers of Beatle songs, also called La France et les Beatles).
Muchas Gracias,

¡Buenos Dias a todos!
A new very interesting American blog called "Comprehensive Beatles" especially dealing with the years 1957-1962 has opened its doors in 2010. You'll find there many precious info concerning the Polydor sessions with Tony Sheridan (1961-1962), as well as an entertaining and very informative story of the December 1962 Star-Club tapes.
For instance, here is the page for the 22/23 June 1961 recording sessions with Tony Sheridan:

Muchas Gracias, iniciado!
By the way, good news!!! In order to cut down on as much as possible the shipping costs, which do represent a significant percentage of the cost price of the book, in particular for the customers living in Japan, Canada, U.S.A., South America as well as Australia, my publisher (Séguier/Atlantica) especially made a deal with Canadian distributor “La Canopée diffusion distribution” for its distribution in the aforementioned countries. Those who are interested to order the book Fact and Fiction, please don’t hesitate to contact John Davies at lacanopee_3@sympatico.ca and ask for shipping details in your country. (Just in case, here’s the postal address of La Canopée : 109, chemin du Sphinx, Saint Armand, Québec, Canada J0J 1T0).
Muchas gracias otra vez,
