CHOOSE LOVE (Ringo Starr 2005)
Dark clouds in my head disappear
The sky is turning blue, now you're here
We've come a long way, day after day, (we still got a long way to go)
You've got to pay your dues, if you want to sing the blues (Letra de "It don't come easy")
But, no matter what you choose, choose love

The Long and Winding Road, is more than a song (canción beatle)
Tomorrow Never Knows, What Goes On (dos canciones beatle más)
To live your life right, you've got to let in the light, and let all the darkness go
You've got to pay your dues, if you want to sing the blues
But, no matter who you choose, choose love

Love, love, love, love, love
Choose Love!

You've got to pay your dues, if you want to sing the blues
But, no matter how you choose
You've got to pay your dues, if you want to sing the blues
But, no matter what you choose, choose love
Choose love, choose love, choose love

(Love is the answer) (final de Mind Games, de John)

Never Without You (Ringo Starr 2003)

We were young, it was fun
And we couldn't lose
Time were right, overnight
We were headline news
Crazy days and reckless nights
Limosuines and bright spotlights
We were brothers through it all

And your song will play on without you
And this world won't forget about you
Every part of you was in your song
Now we will carry on... Never Without you
(Without you Without You) Within you without you (Cancion de George)
Here comes the song it's about you (Here comes the sun , Cancion de George)

Here today, not alone (Here today, cancion de Paul)
With my memories
Life is strange how things change
It's reality
You played a beautiful melody
That keeps on haunting me
I can always feel you by my side

And your song will play on without you
And this world won't forget about you
Every part of you was in your song
Now we will carry on... Never Without you
(Never Without You) Within you without you (Cancion de George)
(Within you without you)
Here comes the song it's about you

I know all things must pass (Cancion de George)
And only love will last
I'll always love the memory of you and me
Take it away Eric

And your song will play on without you
And this world won't forget about you
Every part of you was in your song
Now we will carry on...Never Without you
(Never Without You)Within you without you (Cancion de George)
(Within you without you) (Cancion de George)
I think that love is about you

ENGLISH GARDEN (Ringo Starr, 2003)

I want you to see all of the flowers
We'll shoot to breeze for hours and hours
Buttercups grow, high at the towers
What do I see, I beg your pardon
Barbara and me in our English garden.

Barbara, buster and me in our English garden
(and you too Monty) in our English garden.

Someone's knockin' at the door
Someone's ringin' my bell
Someone's knockin' at the door
Someone's ringin' my bell.

Una facilita, simple:

Eye to Eye
Ringo Starr en Ringo Rama

Remember when I said it don't come easy (Canción suya)
That seems so long ago
Well nothing's changed
And if you don't believe me
Look out your window.

I wonder why, we gotta try
To see eye to eye to eye
What's mine is yours
What's yours is mine
When we see eye to eye to eye.

The wold is spinning and our lives go faster
It's getting out of control
So don't lose sight or what we're goinf after
It's in your heart and soul.

We'll never lose
Why don't we choose
To see eye to eye to eye
If you beggin
We all can win
When we see eye to eye to eye.

Let's fill the wold with joy and laughter
Do it now, there many be now after
Peace and love, and harmony
Now tell me how hard can it be
It's easy, it"s easy.

Remember when I said
It don't come easy
That seems so long ago.

I wonder why
It's hard to try
To see eye to eye to eye
What's mine is yours
What's yours is mine
If we see eye to eye to eye.

We never lose
Why don't we choose
We all can win
If you beggin.

Eye to eye to eye

EARLY 1970 (Ringo Starr, 1970)

(Primer verso, alusivo a Paul)

Lives on a farm, got plenty of charm, beep, beep. (Igual al coro de "Drive My Car")
He's got no cows but he's sure got a whole lotta sheep.
And brand new wife and a family,
And when he comes to town,
I wonder if he'll play with me.

(Segundo verso, alusivo a John)

Laying in bed, watching tv, cookie!
With his mama by his side, she's japanese.
They scream and they cried, now they're free,
And when he comes to town,
I know he's gonna play with me.

(Tercer verso, alusivo a George)

He's a long-haired, cross-legged guitar picker, um-um.
With his long-legged lady in the garden picking daisies for his soup.
A forty acre house he doesn't see,
'Cause he's always in town
Playing for you with me.

(Cuarto verso, alusivo a... Ringo)

I play guitar, a - d - e.
I don't play bass 'cause that's too hard for me.
I play the piano if it's in c.
And when i go to town i wanna see all three,
And when i go to town i wanna see all three,
And when i go to town i wanna see all three.

Mostra "Early 70", sigamos reivindicando a Ringo, Leonardo!!! :D

When the world is coming down on you
And your back's against the wall,
Change the glass that you've been looking through, (LOOKING THROUGH THE GLASS ONION!!!)
It's really half full after all.

If you feel like giving up, (giving up)
If you feel you've had enough,
Let it go,
Don't you know
You can come and kick the bottom out, (bottom out)
Stomp your feet, scream and shout, let it go, let it go.

It's bever quite as bad as you think it is,
'Cause ev'ry bad day turns around. (round, round, round)
Forgive yourself for all the things you did,
The vertical man don't lay down. (down, down, down, down,
down)

If you feel like giving up, (giving up)
If you feel like you've had enough,
Let it go,
Don't you know
Come on - kick the bottom out, (bottom out)
Stomp your feet, scream and shout, let it go, let it go.

And when the sun comes shining through for you,
You'll discover even rainbows have the blues.
Yes, i know, it's not news to you,
Am i getting through to you?

If you feel like giving up,
Don't you know, life is tough
Let it go, don't you know?
Come on, kick the bottom out,
Scream and shout, let it go, let it go.

When you feel like giving up, (giving up)
When you feel like you've had enough,
Let it go, let it go.

Oo-oo, let it go,
Oo-oo, let it go,
Kick the bottom out, scream and shout.
Oo-oo, let it go,
Kick the bottom out, stomp your feet, scream and shout. (yeah,
yeah, yeah)........
Kick the bottom out, Kick the bottom out, Kick the bottom out.

Aaaaaah Scream and shout! Oh!
(it's the vertical man - the vertical man- out!).... (out!)

BACK OFF, BOOGALOO - VERSION TWO (Ringo Starr, 1981)

Back off, boogaloo,
Back off, boogaloo,
I said, back off, boogaloo, boo.

Back off, boogaloo,
What you think you're gonna do?
I gonna flash right from the start.

Get yourself together now and give me something tasty,
Ev'rything you try to do, you know it sure sound wasted.

With a Little Help From My Friends")

Back off, boogaloo, back off, boogaloo,
(what would you do if i sang out of tune?)
I said, back off, boogaloo, boo.
(would you stand up and walk out on me?)

You think you're a groove,
Standin' there with your boogie shoes
(lend me your ears and i'll sing you a song)And your socks that match your eyes.
(and i'll try not to sing out of key)

Get yourself together now
(help! I need somebody)
And give me something tasty,
(help! Not just anybody)
Ev'rything you try to do,
(help! You know i need someone)
You know it sure sound wasted.
(help! Somebody)

(see how they run) (de "Lady Madonna")

Back off, boogaloo,
(i said, back off, boogaloo, i said, back off boogaloo, boo)

Back off, boogaloo,
I said, what you think you're gonna do?
I gonna flash right from the start.

(En el siguiente verso alterna líneas de "Good Day, Sunshine")
Get yourself together now, sunshine.
(good day good day)
You know it don't come easy.
(good day sunshine)

(how does it feel to be one of the beautiful...?) (de "Baby, You're a Rich Man")
(sad because you're on your own?) (de "With a Little Help...")

(what do you see when you turn out the light?) (de "With a Little Help...")
(i can show you but i know it's mine) (de "With a Little Help...")

Get yourself together now, easy. (red foxes going forever)
(whoa!)

I'm The Greatest

When I was a little boy,
Way back home in liverpool,
My mama told me, I was great.

Then when I was a teenager,
I knew that I had got something going,
All my friends told me I was great.

And now I'm a man,
A woman took me by the hand,
And you know what she told me...I was great.

I was in the greatest show on earth,
For what it was worth.
Now i'm only thirty-two;
And all i wanna do, is boogaloo! (Back off Boogaloo?)

Hey!

I looked in the mirror,
I saw my wife and kids,
And you know what they told me...I was great.

Yes, my name is Billy Shears,
You know it has been for so many years.
(Tú sabes mi nombre, mira el número!!! Es el mismo "Billy Shears" del Sargento Pimienta :D )
Now i'm only thirty-two;
And all i wanna do, is boogaloo!

Hey, hey, hey, (hey, hey, hey) yeah!

(hey, hey, hey)

I'm the greatest and you better believe it, baby!

Ho! Ho! Ho!

I'm gonna be the greatest in this world, (ho!)
In the next world and in any world! (hey!)

Alright, alright, alright, alright, alright, alright,
Alright, alright, alright, alright, alright, alright.

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, all right!

Love First, Ask Questions Later

What could I do when I didn't know
when I was young I was younger
give me an answer, its yes or no
how can we wait, any longer.

So baby, don't forget this
what comes around will go
maybe you'll regret this
well, maybe never knows.

Love first, ask questions later
moments pass, they won't wait for the waiter
no one's ever found the power that is greatest
so love first, ask questions later.

Nothing but joy in the tears we cry
nothing but light in around us
trust in each other as years go by
no that forever has bound us.

It ain't so complicated
its easy after all
it can't be overstated
the writing's on the wall.

Love first, ask questions later ...

From all the masters through all time
there's just one truth we have to find
my love is yours, your love is mine.

Baby, don't forget this
what comes around will go
I promise you won't regret this
tomorrow never knows.

Love first, ask questions later ...

Apareció en el álbum ANTI HEROIN PROJECT: IT'S A LIVE-IN WORLD (editado en 1986).

YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE (Ringo, 1986)

Hello, Ringo here.

It's a long time since we had The Beatles, (menciona al grupo)
it's a long time since we had Yellow Submarine, ("Submarino Amarillo")
though I suppose we still have got plenty of Blue Meanies, (los malvados del filme "Submarino Amarillo")
in fact, I think we've probably got more of those now than ever before.

Yes, time passes so quickly but too quickly for some.
You know what I'm talking about, it's the heroin problem,
and it's a rapidly growing problem too, especially among today's kids.

In the Sixties and the Seventies we had psychelelic drugs,
Flower Power and caftans and people wanting to be beautiful, (aunque es un contexto histórico y por tanto general, evoca "Baby, You're a Rich Man")
but that was then. Today some kids just wanna escape all together from life.

Don't you believe in God?
What's the use of living if you can't take dying?
But what's the use of dying if you've never lived?

Let's show today's kids that there is something better
and let us all make it better all the time.
So come on, don't be stupid. If you put a hole in your arm
you must have a hole in your head!

Over to you, John.

Can you hear me, John?

LIVERPOOL 8 (Ringo Starr, 2008)

I was a sailor first, I sailed the sea
Then I got a job, in a factory
Played Butlin’s Camp with my friend, Rory
It was good for him, it was great for me

Livepool I left you, said goodbye to Madryn Street
I always followed my heart, and I never missed a beat
Destiny was calling, I just couldn’t stick around
Liverpool I left you, but I never let you down

Went to Hamburg, the red lights were on
With George and Paul, and my friend John
We rocked all night, we all looked tough
We didn’t have much, but we had enough

Livepool I left you, said ‘goodbye’ to Madryn Street
I always followed my heart, and I never missed a beat
Destiny was calling, I just couldn’t stick around
Liverpool I left you, but I never let you down

In the U.S.A, when we played Shea
We were number 1, and it was fun
When I look back, it sure was cool
For those 4 boys from Liverpool

Livepool I left you, said goodbye to Admiral Grove
I always followed my heart, so I took it on the road
Destiny was calling, I just couldn’t stick around
Liverpool I left you, but I never let you down

La la la la la la …. Liverpool …

Grande Ringo!!!!

(Without you Without You) Within you without you (Cancion de George)
Here comes the song it's about you (Here comes the sun , Cancion de George)

Here today, not alone (Here today, cancion de Paul)
With my memories
Life is strange how things change
It's reality
You played a beautiful melody
That keeps on haunting me
I can always feel you by my side

And your song will play on without you
And this world won't forget about you
Every part of you was in your song
Now we will carry on... Never Without you
(Never Without You) Within you without you (Cancion de George)
(Within you without you)
Here comes the song it's about you

I know all things must pass (Cancion de George)
And only love will last
I'll always love the memory of you and me
Take it away Eric

And your song will play on without you
And this world won't forget about you
Every part of you was in your song
Now we will carry on...Never Without you
(Never Without You)Within you without you (Cancion de George)
(Within you without you) (Cancion de George)
I think that love is about you

I've searched here, there and everywhere
until I saw you standing there
I am the greatest fan of you
and Love is all I've got to do
It's all too much my little child
If you would be my honey pie
Eight days a week you will be mine
and getting better all the time

I'm begging you, don't pass me by
and if you do please tell me why
I know you told me Yesterday
You've got to hide your love away
But if your heart is bad to me
It's only love, I'll let it be

Postcards from Paradise...
With all my loving I'll be true
Postcards from Paradise...
As ever, PS I Love you
Postcards from Paradise...

I wouldn't trade you for no one
I see your face, here comes the sun
and I ain't going nowhere man
Because I want to hold your hand
It's like I said the night before
I'll love you when I'm sixty-four

Postcards from Paradise...
With all my loving I'll be true
Postcards from Paradise...
As ever, PS I Love you
Postcards from Paradise...

I know that we can work it out
There ain't no need to twist and shout
and I won't back off, Boogaloo
Unless you say you love me do

Postcards from Paradise...
With all my loving I'll be true
Postcards from Paradise...
As ever, PS I Love you
Postcards from Paradise...

Postcards from Paradise...
With all my loving I'll be true
Postcards from Paradise...
As ever, PS I Love you
Postcards from Paradise...
