Prefiero entenderte a verte escapar
Quédate en mi camino
Prefiero escucharte a no verte mas
Quédate a hablar conmigo
En tantas calles nuestro andar
Va olvidando respirar
Tus ojos en los que viví
Se diluyen a través del viento
O ya no me quieren mirar
Prefiero entenderte a verte escapar
Quédate en mi camino
Prefiero escucharte a no verte mas
Quédate a hablar conmigo
Prefiero entenderte a verte escapar
Quédate en mi camino
Prefiero escucharte a no verte mas
Quédate a hablar conmigo
The Best of Mighty Mighty Bosstones

I feel uptight on a saturday night
Nine o' clock, the radio's the only light
I hear my song and it pulls me through
Comes on strong, tells me what i've got to do
I got to..
Get up
Everybody's gonna move their feet
Get down
Everybody's gonna leave their seat
You gotta lose your mind in detroit rock city
Get up
Everybody's gonna move their feet
Get down
Everybody's gonna leave their seat
Getting late i just can't wait
Ten o'clock and i know i gotta hit the road
First i drink, then i smoke
Start the car, and i try to make the midnight show
Get up
Everybody's gonna move their feet
Get down
Everybody's gonna leave their seat
Movin' fast, doin' 95
Hit top speed but i'm still movin' much too slow
It feel so good, i'm so alive
Hear my song playin' on the radio
Well it goes
Get up
Everybody's gonna move their feet
Get down
Everybody's gonna leave their seat
Twelve o'clock, i gotta rock
There's a truck ahead, lights starin' at my eyes
Oh my god, no time to turn
I gotta laugh 'cause i notice that i'm gonna die
Why!?
Get up
Everybody's gonna move their feet
Get up
Everybody's gonna leave their seat
The B 52's

We were at a party
His ear lobe fell in the deep
Someone reached in and grabbed it
It was a rock lobster
Rock Lobster
Rock Lobster
We were at the beach
Everybody had matching towels
Somebody went under a dock
And there they saw a rock
It wasn't a rock
It was a rock lobster
Rock Lobster
Rock Lobster
Rock Lobster
Rock Lobster
Motion in the ocean
His air hose broke
Lots of trouble
Lots of bubble
He was in a jam
S'in a giant clam
Rock, Rock, Rock Lobster
Down, down
Underneath the waves
Mermaids wavin'
Wavin' to mermen
Wavin' sea fans
Sea horses sailin'
Dolphins wailin'
Rock Lobster
Rock Lobster
Rock Lobster
Rock Lobster
Red snappers snappin'
Clam shells clappin'
Muscles flexin'
Flippers flippin'
Rock, Rock, Rock Lobster
Down, down
Lobster
Rock
Lobster
Rock
Let's rock!
Boy's in bikinis
Girls in surfboards
Everybody's rockin'
Everybody's fruggin'
Twistin' 'round the fire
Havin' fun
Bakin' potatoes
Bakin' in the sun
Put out your noseguard
Put on the Lifeguard
pass the tanning butter
Here comes a stingray
There goes a manta-ray
In walked a jelly fish
There goes a dog-fish
Chased by a cat-fish
In flew a sea robin
Watch out for that piranha
There goes a narwhale
Here Comes a Bikini Whale!

I beg your pardon (I never promised you a rose garden).
The Devil Went Down To Georgia Click here to listen The Devil Went Down To Georgia
The devil went down to Georgia
He was looking for a soul to steal
And he was in a bind
'Cause he was way behind
And was willin' to make a deal.
When he came upon this young man playing
a fiddle and playin' it hot
the devil jumped up on a hickory
stump and said,
"Boy let me tell you what:
I bet you didn't know it
but I'm a fiddle player too,
And if you care to take a dare
I'll make a bet with you
Now you play a pretty good fiddle boy
But give the devil his due
I'll bet a fiddle of gold against your soul
'Cause I think I'm better than you."
The boy said, "My name's Johnny
And it might be a sin
But I'll take your bet, your gonna regret
'Cause I'm the best that's ever been."
Johnny you rosin up your bow and play your
fiddle hard 'Cause hell's broke loose in Georgia
And the devil deals the cards
And if you win you get this shiny fiddle made of gold
But if you lose the devil gets your soul.
The devil opened up his case and he said,
"I'll start this show."
And fire flew from his fingertips
As he rosined up his bow
And he pulled the bow across the strings
And it made an evil hiss
Then a band of demons joined in
And it sounded something like this
When the devil finished Johnny said,
"Well you're pretty good ol' son!
But sit down in that chair right there
And let me show you how it's done!"
Fire on the mountain, run boys run
Devil's in the house of the rising sun
Chickens in the breadpan, picking out dough
Granny does your dog bite? No, child, no
The devil bowed his head
Because he knew that he'd been beat,
And he laid that golden fiddle
On the ground at Johnny's feet
Johnny said, "Devil, just come on back
if you ever wanna try again.
I done told you once,
You son-of-a-bitch,
I'm the best that's ever been!"
He played:
Fire on the mountain, run boys run
Devil's in the house of the rising sun
Chickens in the breadpan, picking out dough
Granny does your dog bite? No, child, no.
A bottle of white, a bottle of red
Perhaps a bottle of rose instead
Well get a table near the street
In our old familiar place
You and I - face to face
A bottle of red, a bottle of white
It all depends on your appetite
Ill meet you any time you want
In our italian restaurant.
Things are okay with me these days
Got a good job, got a good office
Got a new wife, got a new life
And the familys fine
We lost touch long ago
You lost weight I did not know
You could ever look so good after so much time.
I remember those days hanging out at the village green
Engineer boots, leather jackets and tight blue jeans
Drop a dime in the box play the song about new orleans
Cold beer, hot lights
My sweet romantic teenage nights
Brenda and eddie were the popular steadies
And the king and the queen of the prom
Riding around with the car top down and the radio on
Nobody looked any finer
Or was more of a hit at the parkway diner
We never knew we could want more than that out of life
Surely brenda and eddie would always know how to survive.
Brenda and eddy were still going steady in the summer of 75
When they decided the marriage would be at the end of july
Everyone said they were crazy
Brenda you know youre much too lazy
Eddie could never afford to live that kind of life.
But there we were wavin brenda and eddie goodbye.
They got an apartment with deep pile carpet
And a couple of paintings from sears
A big waterbed that they bought with the bread
They had saved for a couple of years
They started to fight when the money got tight
And they just didnt count on the tears.
They lived for a while in a very nice style
But its always the same in the end
They got a divorce as a matter of course
And they parted the closest of friends
Then the king and the queen went back to the green
But you can never go back there again.
Brenda and eddie had had it already by the summer of 75
From the high to the low to the end of the show
For the rest of their lives
They couldnt go back to the greasers
The best they could do was pick up the pieces
We always knew they would both find a way to get by
Thats all I heard about brenda and eddie
Cant tell you more than I told you already
And here we are wavin brenda and eddie goodbye.
A bottle of red, a bottle of white
Whatever kind of mood youre in tonight
Ill meet you anytime you want
In our italian restaurant.
Billy Joel Gratest Hits Vol. I & II
Piano Man es el analogo de In My Life de Lennon.
Piano Man Click here to listen Piano Man
It's nine o'clock on a Saturday
The Regular crowd shuffles in
There's an old man sitting next to me
Makin' love to his tonic and gin
He says, "Son, can you play me a memory
I'm not really sure how it goes
But it's sad and it's sweet and I knew it complete
When I wore a younger man's clothes"
La la la, de de da
La la, de de da da dum
Chorus:
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright
Now John at the bar is a friend of mine
He gets me my drinks for free
And he's quick with a joke or to light up your smoke
But there's someplace that he'd rather be
He says, "Bill, I believe this is killing me."
As the smile ran away from his face
"Well I'm sure that I could be a movie star
If I could get out of this place"
Oh, la la la, de de da
La la, de de da da dum
Now Paul is a real estate novelist
Who never had time for a wife
And he's talkin' with Davy, who's still in the navy
And probably will be for life
And the waitress is practicing politics
As the businessmen slowly get stoned
Yes, they're sharing a drink they call loneliness
But it's better than drinkin' alone
Chorus
sing us a song you're the piano man
sing us a song tonight well we're all in the mood
for a melody and you got us feeling alright
It's a pretty good crowd for a Saturday
And the manager gives me a smile
'Cause he knows that it's me they've been comin' to see
To forget about life for a while
And the piano, it sounds like a carnival
And the microphone smells like a beer
And they sit at the bar and put bread in my jar
And say, "Man, what are you doin' here."
Oh, la la la, de de da
La la, de de da da dum
Chorus:
sing us a song you're the piano man
sing us a song tonight
well we're all in the mood for a melody and you got us
feeling alrigh

Estos chicos de Illinois me encantan. La voz de Kevin Cronin siempre me ha gustado, quiza son muy conocidos por sus hit Keep the Fire Burning, Keep on loving you y Can't Fight This Feeling pero han tenido muchos mas exitos.

Heard it from another you been messin around
They say you got a boy friend
Youre out late every weekend
Theyre talkin about you and its bringin me down
But I know the neighborhood
And talk is cheap when the story is good
And the tales grow taller on down the line
But Im telling you, babe
That I dont think its true, babe
And even if it is keep this in mind
{refrain}
You take it on the run baby
If thats the way you want it baby
Then I dont want you around
I dont believe it
Not for a minute
Youre under the gun so you take it on the run
Youre thinking up your white lies
Youre putting on your bedroom eyes
You say youre coming home but you wont say when
But I can feel it coming
If you leave tonight keep running
And you need never look back again
