Locura de lista

Nací en los '60... pero conversando con mis padres y con cualquier persona que haya sido joven en la década de los '50 siempre me dijeron que de no haber sido por "Rock Around the Clock" por Bill Haley & His Comets el rock (entonces llamado simplemente "rock and roll") nunca hubiera despegado realmente ni hubiera cautivado al mundo. ¡Pero ni siquiera aparece en la lista!

Como cualquier otra lista de ese tipo, es totalmente subjetiva y hasta "provocadora".

Si hablamos de Beatles, aunque "Strawberry Fields Forever" es para mí una creación más genial que otras más famosas como "Yesterday", antes que ella debió estar sin lugar a dudas "She Loves You". Los ecos de este tema (que obligó a llamar "yeyés" en español a todo el que gustaba de esa música) todavía dan la vuelta al mundo.

Para cambiar el mundo, además, no se requiere que sean las mejores canciones. Pero, incluso en un sentido simbólico, ¿cuántas veces una canción de rock ha "cambiado" el mundo? Algunos pocos álbumes tal vez lo hayan hecho figurativamente, pero canciones independientes apenas serán cinco como mucho. Es sólo mi opinión, claro.
